Tenue to attend a Finnish Business Event in St. Petersburg

Tenue is attending the Finnish Business in St. Petersburg forum arranged by The Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce (FRCC) on 30th May in St. Petersburg. The forum presents the Finnish business life and comprises a seminar and a networking event where the Finnish and Russian top leaders and decision-makers meet. The seminar will be opened by the Finnish Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade, Mr. Alexander Stubb.

Tenue’s CEO Mr. Sami Holopainen acts as a speaker at Information Management Network’s (IMN’s) The European Data Centres forum this month. Forum on Financing, Investing & Real Estate Development is held on 24 th – 25th April in London. In addition to Mr. Holopainen, Mr. Guy Willner, the Chairman of Ixcellerate Moscow Datacentre and Mr. Jules Delahaije, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Linx Telecommunications BV, among others will participate in the President/CEO Panel.

Tenue to host FICIX AGM

Tenue is hosting FICIX Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 11 April. Finnish Communication and Internet Exchange Association – FICIX is the biggest Internet Exchange point (IXP) in Finland. It is a non-profit organization and a neutral provider of reliable IP peering facilities for its members. FICIX is a member of Euro-IX (registered to Netherlands) which gathers up to 60 IXP’s from 36 different countries around the globe.

At FICIX AGM Tenue will present its new data center which will be launched during summer 2012 in Martinlaakso, Vantaa.

Tenue launches a 6.000 m² data center in Vantaa, Finland during summer 2012

Tenue aims to be the premier Finnish data center operator between Europe and Russia

Tenue, a provider of centralized data center services, is expanding its data center business by building a new data center in an old TS-Yhtymä printing house in Martinlaakso, Vantaa. The total constructed space including technical facilities to be built covers 6.000 m² where colocation space totals approximately 4.000 m². This raises Tenue’s total data center space to 8.000 m². Vantaa Data Center has up to 6 MW power and offers space for 2.000 cabinets of Tier-3 level. The construction has started in the beginning of 2012 and the phase 1 is scheduled to be finished in early autumn 2012.

With this expansion Tenue brings to Finland the first carrier-neutral, international-level data center of this size. Tenue aims to be the premier Finnish data center operator and a service gateway between Europe and Russia.

The data center will use free cooling and modular, container-based technology, among other things. The waste heat of cooling systems will also be used directly for heating the building in whole.

The new data center is carrier-neutral and will have multiple cable routes as well as multiple carriers present for customers’ global connectivity requirements.

Tenue’s first self-deployed 1 MW Hiomo Data Center was launched in 2009 in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. In Hiomo Data Center Tenue has hundreds of Finnish and international data center and colocation customers. Hiomo Data Center offers extensive network coverage to Russia, Europe and the rest of the world through Tenue’s partners. Along with the construction of the new Vantaa data center, Tenue will also launch additional space in Hiomo Data Center as an expansion of the existing facilities.

Helsinki Data Center expansion

Tenue launched additional 180 m², which is an expansion to already existing 250 m² of DC space in Helsinki Data Center. New expansion can take up to 80 standard size cabinets and currently has 200 kW of cooling power.

This new expansion comes ahead of schedule and addresses rapidly growing demand for Tenue Data Center services.
